One thing is for sure: No matter how much impact protection you use, there is never a guarantee that you can prevent injury.

What can Erbo crash protectors do?

The principle of Erbo impact protection:
Erbo crash protectors in motorcycle wear work by reducing the energy created by sudden impact. The incoming impact which hits the particular body part is buffered by the crash protectors. The European Community test standard prEN1621-1 sets the impact limit at 35 kN (kilo-Newton).

Purpose:
The protectors used in Erbo's products were designed to provide some protection against injury in the event of an impact with the ground or road surface during motorcycle accidents. They can reduce the severity of injuries caused by impacts with other objects. These protectors comply with all relevant regulations according to PPE Directive 89/686/EEC and have been tested in accordance with prEN 1621-1.

Erbo impact protectors mean less risk to you:
  • They prevent abrasions and lacerations in those areas of the body covered by the protector.
  • They reduce and/or prevent serious bruising, fractures and damage to adjacent body parts in those areas of the body covered by the protector.
  • They help reduce the severity of muscle damage in those areas of the body covered by the protector.
  • They help prevent dirt entering and contaminating potential wounds in those areas of the body covered by the protector.
